So our anniversary is coming up this summer and we can’t decide what to do for it. We originally planned to go out to L.A. and stay with my sister, but now that gas prices are a joke we bagged that idea. We want to do something fun, yet cheap- and so far we’ve come up with zilch. We need help coming up with ideas. So if any of you have suggestions on what we could do, it would be greatly appreciated!

Just The Usual
Nothing too exciting has been going on lately. Justin is working for the forest service now that he is out of school for the summer. I’m glad he is working for the forest service again because he loves that job. He gets paid to hike around the canyon for eight hours a day. So while Justin is at work, Hayden and I just play! Everyday Hayden gets more fun and entertaining. He is getting SO big SO fast. I can't believe he is six months old. Hayden is my best little buddy! I’m so happy I get to spend every day with him because I get to watch him learn and discover new things. This is a video of his latest milestone. (As usual- try to ignore my loud voice in the background.)
We are still working on it but as you can see, he is getting the hang of it.
This is just a video of Justin playing with Hayden. It is kind of random, but we had fun.

Date Night
Justin and I went to a concert! Not just any concert- but Kenny Loggins! Random- I know. (For those of you who don’t appreciate old eighties singers- Kenny Loggins sings Footloose and Danger Zone from Top Gun, among many others.) As most people know, I am a sucker for oldies so when I heard Kenny Loggins was coming in concert to Tuacahn I was thrilled. I told Justin I wanted to go really bad but I didn’t think he would go because Kenny Loggins isn’t exactly his favorite singer- but he was such a stud and got us tickets!
We had a blast even though it was ridiculously windy. And yes- we were the only ones at the concert under the age of 40.
We sat towards the top because the mosh pits and crowd surfing was just getting out of hand. We really sat towards the top so I could get up and dance around because everyone stayed seated through most of the concert. Surprise! Surprise! Actually, I wasn’t the only one dancing around. There was one groovy grandma who rocked out with me. I would have made Justin rock out with me, but I figured he was nice enough to take me so I wouldn’t push my luck.
This is not the best recording, but this was when he played mine and Justin’s song! Loved it! Loved it!
Hayden had lots of fun playing with Ashtynn and Avery while we were at the concert. Michael and Jess were nice enough to watch Hayden for us. It worked out well because Ashtynn and Avery were excited to have “Baby Hayden” over.
