TAG, I'M IT!

So I am not the smartest person ever- (I blame it on having a baby and losing my mind. Watch out, it really happens.) I kept getting “tagged” by people but I didn’t know what it meant to be tagged. So after using logic and a little common sense, (and I may have asked someone) I now know what it means to be tagged.

What was I doing 10 years ago?

I was in seventh grade at good old American Fork Jr High. I was rocking the jyncos, (I think that’s how you spell it- remember those pants)- my only cool Calvin Klein shirt, and who could forget the bangs! My bangs were a work of art. Each morning I would spend who knows how long making sure that they were one big, perfect curl. If I stood to the side you could see straight through my bangs. What I remember most from seventh grade was having a new crush every week- and having an unhealthy obsession with Leonardo DiCaprio.

3 things on my to do list.

Get our taxes done, change the windshield wipers on my car, and call my grandma.

 5 snacks I enjoy-

What? Only five- chocolate covered cinnamon bears, symphony candy bar (with toffee), twizler nibs, Andes mints, and the classic baby carrots.

 3 bad habits-

Well, the first one that comes to mind is that I occasionally let a bad word or two slip. But I must say that I have definitely gotten better since Hayden was born. According to Justin I have a bad habit of becoming obsessive compulsive about cleaning. My only defense is that Shauna Healey is my mom. Another bad habit is eating sweets late at night. For some reason chocolate tastes better at ten o’clock at night.

 5 places I’ve lived-

American Fork, Ogden, Logan, and Cedar City. I don’t have a fifth one.

 5 jobs I’ve had-

Telemarketer at Focus and at Convergys, (sad, I know)- I worked at The Children’s Place, The Sharratt Library, and at Cedar Middle School. Oh, and most importantly- full time mommy!

5 things you don’t know about me-

Let me think. I love, love, love going on walks. I cry very easily in movies so I don’t watch the end of sad movies like The Notebook or Steel Magnolias. As far as I’m concerned everyone lives happily ever after. I love to cook, but I am easily discouraged because I am married to the pickiest eater in the world! I am getting very sick of the cold weather- I can’t wait for spring! And finally, I have a terrible voice, but that doesn’t stop me from singing at the top of my lungs in my car and pretending I am good singer.

I now tag Amber, Amy and Jessica. (Brianne, you're tagged too as soon as you start a blog)

Three Cheers for Hayden!!!

Hip Hip Hooray! Hayden is sleeping through the night!!!!! Thanks to the book Babywise. So I guess I should be saying “Three cheers for Babywise!” I had three failed attempts with the babywise schedule and was about to give up trying- but my sister Jessica convinced me to dedicate a week to getting Hayden on the schedule- so I did and it worked! So I guess Jess deserves a few cheers herself. Hayden is now sleeping ten to twelve hours a night- rather than waking up at least two to three times a night. I recommend Babywise for any new mom or mom-to-be. It takes some work, but it is definitely worth it!

(The reason he is a little burrito is because he sleeps much better when he is swaddled.)

And I couldn’t resist putting up this video of Hayden. I took this one night when we were trying to get Hayden to bed but he was being extremely fussy- as usual. He loves to be rocked in his car seat so we put him in it to rock him to sleep- but he decided he wanted to play instead. So here is Hayden charming his way out of going to sleep- and it worked. (You will see why we call him lizard boy- he loves his tongue)
